Application for a Gift Membership
The objects of the Society are “to advance the education of the public about astronomy … chiefly in Edinburgh and its neighbourhood”.
Please fill in the form below and send payment by bank transfer (an email will be sent with bank details after we receive this form) or you can also use the PayPal form on the Membership page. Once we receive payment we will send a Gift Certificate which you can give to the recipient. They will then apply for membership using the Certificate number as payment.
Subscription Rates (from 1 January 2020)

We would encourage prospective members who are under 18 or who do not live in the Edinburgh area to speak to one of the Society’s Council members after a meeting of the Society before submitting an application for membership.
People under 18 may apply for Junior Membership. (Unless there are exceptional circumstances, we are unlikely to accept applications from those under 16.)
Please not that your application is not complete until you have completed the application form and payment has been received.
The Society’s membership records are stored on computer. By applying, prospective members are taken to consent to this.
