The biggest industry that could come into being in space is the mining of the asteroids. Enabling this to happen will lead to a new flourishing of astronomy and planetary science (love), will protect Earth from dinosaur-killer asteroids (fear), and will lead to a time of material abundance (greed). I will discuss how this all may come about.
