FULL Telescope Help Shop 25 Feb 2023
25 February @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm GMT
| £5Need help getting started with your new telescope? Our first few workshops were a great success, this is our fifth. Entry is free to ASE members and £5 to non-members but registration is required as places are limited.
Maybe it’s a telescope you got for Christmas or as a birthday present but you haven’t worked out what to do with it yet and you need help setting it up.
Bring your telescope along if you can. There will be experienced amateur astronomers around to help you set it up and get the most out of it. We’ll help you learn how to use it and give you some suggestions of what to observe too. If skies are clear the Moon will be visible to practice on.
Parking is available round the back of the church building. Follow the signs to David Lloyd and turn left immediately. Enter the Gyle Hall through the gate at the rear of the church – see below. There will be signs outside.
Please bring your telescope along if you are able, but be aware that our insurance does not cover the telescope.
If you haven’t booked a ticket, please don’t turnup as we are restricted to the number of people we can have in the hall. Thank you
(Please note if you cancel your ticket, you may lose Eventbrite fees.)
