ASE Members: Screening of “A residence above the clouds”

We will have Professor Andy Lawrence with us to answer questions. He appears on the film and was very involved in all the 200 anniversary celebrations of Charles Piazzi Smyth in 2019. There will be a short intermission part way through so you can replenish your mug/glass/bottle/plate…

A Residence Above The Clouds, a 2016 film directed by Guillermo Carnero Rosell, showing the adventures of Scottish and Spanish students attempting to recreate the famous mountain top experiments of Charles and Jessica Piazzi Smyth, and featuring the current Regius Professor of Astronomy, Andy Lawrence, and a brief appearance by Dr Brian May.
