We’d like to announce our new relationship with DWARFLAB, makers of the DWARF range of smart telescopes.
The starting point for the partnership is to introduce the DWARFLAB name and products to ASE members and to visitors at our outreach events, while also giving our members the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with their equipment.
DWARFLAB have kindly donated merchandise and brochures for us to distribute to visitors at our outreach events. We’ll be doing this at some of our smaller events – the recent Eclipse event on Calton Hill, with thousands of people turning up, was a bit of a non-starter for obvious reasons! We have some more suitable events coming up in September.
They have also donated a DWARF mini smart telescope and bag for the Society to use at outreach events. In return, we’ll share photographs from the events and some of the images captured with the mini. Members will be able to borrow the DWARF mini and try the device out for themselves. We’d love to see what you can do with it, and DWARFLAB are also keen for us to share some of the images captured by members.
There’s also a direct benefit for our members. DWARFLAB are offering ASE members an 8% discount on the purchase of a DWARF mini smart telescope, using a dedicated Society discount code. Another membership benefit. ASE receives no commission or other financial benefit from any purchase, all of the available discount is passed directly to the purchaser.
We hope this is just the beginning of an exciting relationship with DWARFLAB, with more to follow.
