Summer 2007 Programme of Meetings
Our meetings are open to the public (unless otherwise stated). We are always happy to see new faces.
Ordinary meetings take place at 8pm (Civil Time) in the City Dome of the City Observatory, Calton Hill (usually on the first Friday of the month).
Any changes to our meeting arrangements will be put on our website http://www.astronomyedinburgh.org/ and on the answering machine at the observatory (556 4365).

Doors Open Day
The Observatory will be open from 10am until 4pm as part of the Cockburn Association's "Doors Open Day". Visitors will be welcome to come and see around the building, either on their own, or as part of tours which will be run from time to time. Please note that there are steps to, and in, the building and that we do not currently have any toilet facilities. Open Evening (weather permitting) If the weather is good enough then we will be reopening the observatory to the public from 8pm to allow people to see through one of the telescopes. Please check on back on the website or on the observatory phone (0131 556 4365) after 7pm to hear if we consider the weather suitable for this event. Remember to wear warm clothing, and please be prepared for queuing. |
